Banksia Nut 15-20 cm
The Banksia nut comes from Western Australia. It grows on the Banksia tree (Banksia grandis) and is the fruit of the tree.
The cone/nut is covered with holes where the seed capsules have been.The Banksia cone can be used, for example, for woodturning, knife handles (if stabilized), and as decoration.

We recommend using a visor and possibly gloves when turning the nut. There may be small seed capsules in the holes that can be ejected.
