Carnauba wax

Carnauba wax
Carnauba wax is a 100% natural product that is taken from the leaves of the carnauba wax palm. The palms only grow naturally in North-eastern Brazil.

The carnauba wax is hard, and it is used for superfinishing wood and leather.

The wax is used on a rotating polishing disc, and the friction heat melts the wax on to the polishing disc. After that, the workpiece is held on to the polishing disc, and the wax is transferred to the workpiece.

On turned wooden products, the wax can be held carefully on the turning workpiece, and the wax will melt on to the workpiece. Afterwards, polish with a soft cloth.
