The Ranger has rubber grips for easy handling and comes with a declination scale that can be used anywhere inside the capsule, a magnifying lens and baseplate map measurement in mm and 1:25k, 1:50k scales. The bottom plate is curved up at the back for a perfect fit in the hand. The red/black north-south lines in the bottom of the capsule ensure easy and safe sedimentation. The clear arrow and scales/markings in a clear modern font combined with plenty of transparency in the base plate make navigation easier - when activated in light, the luminous markings enable night navigation. The needle is made of the finest Swedish steel with high-quality magnetic functions.

This compass model is equipped with a removable scale lanyard that acts as a ruler. The scale has two scales on it; 1:25 and 1:50, making it easier to measure the distance on your hike.
