Finishing Oil - Chestnut

Finishing Oil is Chestnut's version of Danish Oil and uses Tung Oil as its base, but with the addition of solvents and drying agents. This helps to dry the product and accelerates it dramatically so that it is dry within approx. eight hours.
It has a pale amber color and dries to a hard but flexible film that is highly durable and water resistant.
Finishing Oil contains UV filters to protect the dried finish and the color of the wood underneath.

For a high-gloss finish, apply several coats with a light rub down between coats; after 5 or 6 layers a good shine should be visible.

Finishing Oil is usually applied with a cloth, but on larger areas a brush can be used with great success.
