Knife Handle - Olive

Knife Handle, approx. 24x38x120 mm. 

Olive trees grow in Southern Europe and in East Africa.

The wood is yellow or light brown with dark brown or black stripes.

The tree is usually very oil-rich and it can therefore be time-consuming to sand it, as the abrasive paper can get very "greasy" . The wood smells great when you work with it! 

Used for wood turning, finer furniture, etc.
