Knife Handle - Wenge

Knife Handle, approx. 24x38x120 mm. 

Wengé gros in the central parts of Africa. The wood is dark brown with dark markings. When it’s treated or oiled it may look very dark, almost black.

Can be a bit difficult to work with and the darker/black areas may have a different hardness. Therefore it can be difficult to get an even grind. The wood can also dull cutting tools.

Used for furniture, music instruments, handicrafts, etc.
