Mammoth tusk is 10,000 - 40,000 years old and is found in the North Sea, Siberia and Alaska.
Under vacuum, the mammoth tusk is filled with acrylic, which fills any holes or small cracks.

Mammut tusk is machined with ordinary tools for wood. However, be aware that it can be a bit porous - so be careful when filing and sanding over edges or when drilling.
The material must not get too hot when you grind it. This can cause the tooth to crack or split.
