WOODCUT Bowlsaver MAX4 - Safe, solid and easy to use. Make several bowls from the same item.

Based on customer feedback about the Bowlsaver Max3, the WOODCUT Tools team together with Ken Port and other professional international woodturners have designed, tested and developed the Bowlsaver Max4 over many years. They took the time to listen to customers and ensure that the completely redesigned version of the well-known bowl saver from New Zealand does not compromise and lives up to their expectations.

Mounted in the plant holder. Supplied without stem. The stem must be purchased in the size that fits your lathe.

WOODCUT bowl cutters are the only ones in their class that are attached to both the lower part of the hand rest and the lathe. This makes them easy to use for wood turners of all levels, from beginners to advanced.

All three available blades are already included in the kit. This makes it possible to produce bowl blanks from 75 mm (3'') to 450 mm (18''). The basic material in the galvanized blades is made of high-performance steel, which is particularly dimensionally stable and durable.

Robust Stellite cutting edges
When choosing a blade, Bowlsaver Max4 uses a material from the sawmill industry. The Stellite blades on all three blades are suitable for hard and soft wood, are extremely hard-wearing and extremely durable. The big advantage is its resistance and robustness against wood inclusions.
The knives can be easily sharpened by hand using a CBN or diamond wheel at a pre-sharpened angle (10°).

Solid base body
The basic body of the Bowlsaver Max4 is made from precision-milled cast aluminium. The design means that the knives can be clamped without play. In addition, the knives are stabilized by guides and a durable support plate.

Fastening
The Bowlsaver is placed and secured via the lower part of the hand rest and the spindle dock on your lathe. Mounted in the plant holder. The Max4 comes standard with a MK2 Morse taper. If necessary, this can also be fixed through the rear stem using a threaded rod (9.5 mm) included in the scope of delivery.
